Early shows:
Really early on Todd Brashear, Grant Barger and Will Oldham did an open mic show in Bloomington, IN and called themselves "Grant's Tomb".
They each played a couple of solo coversongs apiece.
The first pre Palace show was played on an open mic night at a place called Uncle Pleasant's in Louisville.
The band was called "Birdie Num Nums" which is from the Peter Seller's movie "The Party". The MC then introduced the band as "Burning Num Nums".
Before the band was called Palace Flophouse they did a show at the Highland House.
They played Bob Dylan's "New Pony", Patti Smith's "Rock n Roll Nigger", the Rolling Stones' "Dead Flowers" and a few more.
The band was called "Wing It". It was for a Derby party.
After that Palace Flophouse played in bars etc. with this band.
The played among other songs Bukka White's "Poor Boy"
The April show was played with Todd Brashear, Britt Walford, Brian McMahan and maybe Grant Barger

Three songs from Chicago are released, two on the Palace Live 7", "Untitled" on Lost Blues And Other Songs.
The St.Louis show ended with a bunch of Elvis covers.
